Steve Wilson of Mount Holly, North Carolina couldn’t believe it. No, really – he couldn’t believe it.
Wednesday night he saw the winning numbers show up on his television screen while watching the news. He also read the numbers in the newspaper the next day. He still wasn’t convinced.
Finally, he logged on to the NC Lottery website and read those same numbers. Yes, they were the numbers on his ticket. And his ticket was worth $600,000.
Normally, those numbers would be worth only (only) $200,000. But Mr. Wilson opted for the “Power Play” option and tripled whatever his winnings were. $200k turned into $600k just like that – and it only cost him another dollar.
Wilson plans to spend some of the money paying off his truck. And his wife will get a new car. Now he believes.
