These people just won many millions of dollars, but you would think they just got news that their dog had died. I know it’s a little overwhelming, but show a bit of excitement, people!
Clifton Jones was a regular player of the Powerball game. His wife wasn’t all that excited about it, but she figured that since the money from the Lottery was going toward education in the state, it wasn’t all that bad. Now that they have won $2 million, she’s a little happier about it.
Paul and Sue Rosenau won $180 million on the powerball lottery. This little video gives you an idea of what that can really be like when you realise you’ve won a crazy amount of money.
I suspect he didn’t really just say ‘oh my gosh’ at the time 🙂
Really nice down to earth folk huh? Just the kind of people you want to be lottery winners!
The National Lottery in the UK has created over 800,000,000 winners (yes that’s 800 million) since it first started back in November 1994. Every week, an estimated 750,000 ticket holders win prizes in the UK lottery, yet it’s always the big winners who attract the most attention.
UK Lottery Biggest Individual Win
The largest individual ticket win on the UK lottery was back in June 1995, when Paul Maddison and Mark Gardiner from Brighton shared £22,590,829. The winner’s right to anonymity if they wish it, was instated after the identity of a single £17.44 million winner was leaked to the press in December 1994.
Wanda Sargent has done twice what most people have never done once.
Last year she won $66,000 in the Nebrask Pick 5. When that happened, her husband tried to get her to spend part of the money to get him a workshop build in their back yard.
Her response was, “If I win the lottery again, then you can have your workshop.” Looks like that is going to happen, since Sargent won her second lottery prize recenly – another $62,000.
Sargent has been spending $12 per week for the last 2 years, and it looks like her investment has paid off in a big way.
